Mephadow 15

Mephiles cradled Shadow as Raeula got out a needle.
"Raeula? Hoya okae lew oysa lasd?" Mephiles looked at Raeula, who responded with
"10 Sequdes." She walked over to Shadow and said gently
"Okay, this will only hurt for ten seconds, Got it?" She lifted Shadows left arm, then thought about it,
"Are you right, or left handed?"
"Left." Shadow said ruefully.
"Okay then." She put Shadows left hand down and picked up his right.
"I want you to count to ten, and then you can pull your arm away." She said, looking for some sign that Shadow was scared. He showed none.
She gently stuck the needle in Shadows vain, causing him to shiver.
"You can start counting."
Shadow clentched his fist, and sqeezed his eyes shut.
"You can pull your arm away if you want, now." As soon as she said it, Shadow yanked his arm away and emedietly grabbed Mephiles' arm.
"Ow. Well, It could've been worse. He could have dug his claws into my arm." Mephiles purred as he pulled Shadow closer.
"Owww!! What was that!?" Shadow looked up at Mephiles innocently, his wide crimson eyes watering.
"This is good. He just seemed to have a double heartbeat at that time. Let me check again." Raeula placed her hand on Shadows stomach and said,
"Shhh..."

"This is great news. He's not. It was just a tremor of his heartbeat. He was just stressed out. Alot." She smiled at Shadow, and rubbed his forehead, and flicked his ear a little bit.
"Ow. So wait, I'm not pregnant?! This is awesome!!" Shadow started smiling emedeitly.
"Mephiles, wait a while longer. Let him grow up a bit before you do this to him again, okay?" Raeula looked at Mephiles.
"Alright, that gives us time to get better...aqainted. Right Sonic?" Mephiles looked at Sonic, who was really getting confuzed with the converstion.
"Wait, what? Sorry, I'm just trying to figure out what you were saying before. What language was that, anyways?" He looked at Mephiles, who just said
"Dark. We were speaking Dark, Sonic." Mephiles chuckled.
"What a weird language. Oh well. I'm just glad Shadow ISNT pregnant." Sonic laughed a little.
"Mephiles, may I speak to you in private?" Raeula gently grabbed Mephiles' arm and pulled him into the hallway.

"I could have. But I didnt, Did I?" Mephiles said causualy.
"Before you even THINK about kissing him again, consider turning him." Raeula pointed out, and Mephiles' eyes went wide when she said that.
"I dont want to put him through all of that pain, right now! And besides, I cant even begin to THINK of him as a Dark!" Mephiles growled at her.
"I just dont want him dead! And I'm sure no one else wants to see him in a coffen! Think of his safety!" She said gently.
"And if you need help with that, you know where to find me! Now go! And next time you see me, I expect him to be a Dark!" She pushed Mephiles back into the room, just as Sonic and Shadow high fived each other, and gave a friendly hug.
"Alright, Lets go." Mephiles was about to pick Shadow up, Then thought about it, and just helped him down from the table. He gently took Shadows hand, and Sonic, Shadow and Mephiles walked out, Mephiles deep in thought.
